With Simple Plan from the very beginning their dedication and hard work was obvious. One of the reasons that Arnold was willing to develop the project on spec was because he was convinced that their work ethic would be integral to the project's success. With very short notice, if Arnold had a couple of open days in the studio, the guys would jump into their old ambulance (band van) to drive from Montreal to Toronto. They would sleep at the studio to maximize their time there.
